Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport for patients, combining aviation skill with medical service excellence. You will ensure safety for the medical team and patients while supporting EMS missions from the Wadesboro base.

The role requires FAA Commercial with Instrument Rating or ATP, current FAA medical certificate, and 2,500 helicopter hours with night and instrument experience. Expect 42 weekly hours and hourly pay between $46.24 and $72.80.

Qualifications

• FAA Certifications required: Commercial with Instrument Rating or ATP, appropriate category and class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total helicopter time, 100 cross-country hours (25 at night).
• 75 actual or simulated instrument hours and 100 hours night flying.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights considering weather, weight and balance, and fuel.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds to emergency callouts, maintains readiness at all times.
