Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an experienced Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport. You will operate helicopters under FAA rules, plan flights with weather and fuel considerations, and coordinate with medical teams for safe patient transfers.

Qualifications

  • FAA: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP.
  • FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
  • Total flight hours: 2,500 in helicopter operations.
  • Cross-country: 100 hours with 25 night hours.
  • Instrument hours: 75 hours; 100 hours unaided night flight.

Responsibilities

  • Opens and operates aircraft per FAA regulations and mission protocols.
  • Plans flights considering weather, weight, balance and fuel needs.
  • Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew and dispatch for mission success.
  • Responds to emergency calls and maintains readiness at all times.
  • Maintains flight and maintenance logs per FAA requirements.
