Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving medical transport. You will operate helicopters under FAA rules, coordinate with medical teams, and ensure safety during all flights from Lander Air Base in Wyoming.

Key qualifications include FAA pilot certificates with instrument rating, 2,000+ hours total, and readiness for 135.293 checks. Excellent teamwork and decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher)
  • Flight experience: 2,000 hours total, 100 cross-country, 25 night, 75 instrument hours
  • Night Vision Goggle experience (preferred)
  • Able to meet 135.293 check ride within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
  • Plans and executes flights considering weather, weight & balance, and fuel.
  • Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
  • Responds promptly to emergency callouts and maintains readiness.
  • Maintains flight and maintenance logs per FAA requirements.
  • Represents the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
