Denton County, Texas is seeking a Life Safety Technician to oversee installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and compliance of life safety systems across facilities. This role involves designing systems for new construction, reviewing plans and coordinating with contractors and elected officials.

The position requires the ability to install, test, configure and repair fire and security alarm components, plus routine maintenance and vendor management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1 year in a related field with Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) license or 3 years with no license; license must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Oversee installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, repair and compliance of life safety systems.
• Design systems for new construction, review plans, meet with contractors and officials.
• Install, test, configure, troubleshoot and repair fire and security alarm components.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on life safety equipment and oversee testing.
• Manage vendors, inventory, installation work and warranty activities.
• Review drawings for new construction/remodels concerning fire safety systems.
• Escort vendors during installations, maintenance and repairs of life safety systems.
• Assist with low voltage system installations and maintenance.
• Maintain licenses, certifications and training on current technologies.
