Job summary

Conroe Independent School District is seeking a Life Safety Compliance Technician to maintain and service life/safety equipment across district facilities. This role oversees subcontractors, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with NFPA and local codes.

Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documentation, and on-call responses as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Type B Portable Fire Extinguisher License or obtain within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire safety practices.
• Ability to communicate and document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with local fire codes.
• Compile and file required reports for codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Oversee subcontractors to meet specifications and schedules.
