Job summary

TSMC is seeking a Life Safety Systems Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain life safety equipment and systems in line with building codes and corporate policies. The role involves testing fire protection and alarm systems, conducting safety-focused maintenance, and preparing reports on installed systems.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of industry standards, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience with electrical and system diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards, local fire and building codes, and ability to read engineering drawings
• Ability to interpret specifications and work with engineers and managers
• Safety procedures and documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair, test, and maintain fire protection, fire alarm and HGM systems and components according to system specifications.
• Submit documented reports regarding installed fire suppression and HGM system inspections
• Ensure electrical systems safety during maintenance
• Supervise and perform preventative maintenance of Fire Risers, Fire Extinguishers, PIVs, Tampers/Flow switches, Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression, Foam Systems, Carousals, Hydrants, Detectors and related sensors
• Interface with Fire Alarm Systems, PLCs and SCADA systems
• Dismantle and inspect components for wear, replace parts as needed
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely
• Additional duties per business demands
