Job summary

UL Solutions in the United States is seeking a hybrid role for testing and certifying fire alarm, access control, and smoke detection systems to UL standards. You will work directly with clients, manage certification projects, coordinate testing activities, and provide technical guidance to ensure timely completion.

The role involves travel to client sites, ongoing client communication, and collaboration with laboratories.

Qualifications

University degree in Electrical engineering.
Prior engineering experience preferred.
Experience with fire and smoke detection, access control, and fire alarm control panels (preferred).
Customer-facing experience required.
Strong communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

Determines project scope, develops plan of investigation, and defines specs (cost, time, samples) from client input and data.
Travel to client sites to witness tests and promote services.
Communicate with clients about UL procedures, costs, and schedules.
Coordinate laboratory activities and schedule technicians.
Prepare data sheets and status reports for clients.
Resolve client issues and support project completion.
Assist in developing UL requirements and test methods.
