Job summary

Fire Equipment Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its Medford, MA location to manage and process quotes for fire safety deficiencies identified during inspections within an assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will have fire protection industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet monthly sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service. This on-site role features a base plus commission and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fire protection or life safety industry experience required.
• Previous inside sales, estimating, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Demonstrated ability to close sales and meet monthly quotas.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate deficiency reports submitted by field technicians.
• Prepare and process accurate, detailed quotes for materials, labor, and services.
• Obtain vendor and distributor pricing for parts, materials, and subcontracted services as needed.
• Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to present quotes and close sales.
• Ensure quotes are followed up within 24–48 hours of delivery.
• Collaborate with operations, service, and dispatch teams to ensure scheduling and timely project completion.
• Close approved deficiency opportunities, generate work orders, and monitor status to completion.
• Track and achieve individual and team sales quotas on a monthly basis.
• Maintain accurate records within the CRM and participate in weekly sales meetings.
