Job summary

Fire Equipment Inc. in Medford, MA, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to manage and process quotes for fire safety deficiencies identified during inspections within an assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection or life safety industry required.
• Experience in inside sales, estimating, or customer service preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to close sales and meet monthly quotas.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate deficiency reports submitted by field technicians within the assigned territory.
• Prepare and process accurate and detailed quotes for materials, labor, and services in accordance with FEI pricing and policies.
• Obtain vendor and distributor pricing for parts, materials, and subcontracted services as needed.
• Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to present quotes, answer questions, and close sales.
• Ensure all quotes are followed up within 24–48 hours of delivery to maximize conversion opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, service, and dispatch teams to ensure accurate scheduling and timely project completion.
• Close approved deficiency opportunities, generate work orders, and monitor status to completion.
• Track and achieve individual and team sales quotas on a monthly basis.
• Maintain accurate records within the company CRM system (Salesforce preferred) and ensure all customer data is up to date.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

Position Summary
