Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electricity and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience as Fire Alarm Technician preferred.
• Willing to support training for entry-level candidates.
• Familiarity with NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, service, and upgrade fire alarm systems.
• Respond to emergencies after business hours to address safety concerns.
• Perform annual and semi-annual Life Safety System inspections.
• Write inspection and service reports noting deficiencies or corrections.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in fire alarm systems and take appropriate actions.
• Perform system upgrades, modifications, and expansions as necessary.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and team members to ensure efficient installation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventory.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Stay current with industry codes, regulations, and technological advancements.
