Job summary

Prime Partners in Michigan is seeking experienced Fire & Security Systems Technicians for field service and installation projects. This contract-to-hire role requires hands-on experience with fire alarms, burglar alarms, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems, with willingness to travel throughout Michigan.

Responsibilities include installing, servicing, testing, commissioning, and documenting systems, reading drawings, and ensuring compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with fire/security or low-voltage systems.
• Experience with fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
• Ability to travel and work independently in the field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems.
• Work with fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform system testing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
• Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Perform equipment installations, wiring, terminations, and device replacements.
• Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Michigan and surrounding areas as required.
• Follow all safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes.
