Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking an Actuary on the Rate Indications team to lead complex pricing analyses for personal lines property. You will develop pricing strategies, lead models, and act as a SME for partners across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Actuary, you will influence pricing decisions, present insights, and ensure sound pricing frameworks. This hybrid role requires collaboration across locations including Boston and Madison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer-driven actuarial solutions and services.
• Deep knowledge of property and casualty pricing, rates, and industry trends.
• Experience with underwriting guidelines, pricing, ratemaking, loss reserving, and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex actuarial analyses for insurance pricing and rate indications.
• Develop and implement pricing methodologies and models for personal lines property.
• Collaborate with partners; present findings and recommendations to pricing strategies.
• Own the recurring indication development process and rate review activities.
• Contribute to dataset development and data analytics efforts for pricing.
