AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams in placing life insurance policies and servicing existing policies. You will gather requirements from clients, review for completeness, and submit to carriers and lenders while tracking exams and APS requests.
You will also assist with policy renewals, administrative tasks, and data entry in policy systems, maintaining organized files and timely communications with clients and carriers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry for policy administration.
- Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred.
Responsabilités
- Assist the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow-up efforts.
- Monitor each case throughout underwriting and escalate issues to the Case Manager when needed.
- Work with carriers to issue policies and prepare underwriting correspondence.
- Draft informal and formal cover letters for Case Manager review.
- Maintain underwriting files and update Salesforce Chatter with status updates.
