Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Life Insurance Sales Agent in Sumter, South Carolina. This is a full-time, field-based role with benefits, centered on personal home visits to collect premiums, sell policies, and service clients. New agents begin with paid training to study for licensing exams.

After licensing, you’ll manage an existing book of business, earning commissions on premiums and new sales. A licensed, dependable vehicle is required for daily travel.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
• Dependable vehicle for daily travel.
• Ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conducting sales presentations, recommending products, and closing new sales.
• Prospecting for new sales opportunities.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre-arranged schedule.
• Responding promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans.
• Record keeping, money collection, and processing policy paperwork.
