Job summary

Kemper Corporation in Monroe, Louisiana is seeking a Life Insurance Sales Manager to recruit, develop, and lead a team of agents while driving territory growth through hands-on field leadership.

You will spend the majority of your time in the field, coaching agents in sales activities, conducting trainings, and building local relationships to support recruitment and new business opportunities. This role offers uncapped commission and leadership growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance sales, sales leadership, or field training.
• Active Life, Health, Property, and Casualty insurance licenses in required states.
• Proven success recruiting, developing, and coaching sales professionals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
• Comfortable spending approximately 80% of time in the field with agents/customers.
• Valid driver’s license and minimum 100k/300k auto liability coverage.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening; work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high‑performing team of insurance agents.
• Lead by example through active in-person sales, including door-to-door prospecting and in‑home presentations.
• Coach agents via field ride‑alongs with real‑time training and development.
• Build local presence by networking to recruit talent and generate new business.
• Drive territory growth by supporting agents to meet sales goals and deepen relationships.
• Monitor activity and provide coaching to improve performance.
• Conduct field and phone reviews to reinforce compliance and sales practices.
• Demonstrate and reinforce use of company technology and sales tools.
• Support customers in unassigned territories through direct sales and service.
• Partner with District Manager to share field insights and training needs.
