Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Compassionate, patient and adept at dealing with stressful/emotional situations.
• Solid understanding and experience with military benefits and entitlements.
• Experience in life insurance and/or financial services, particularly life insurance claims, preferred.
• Military Spouses and Military Retirees, highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage the end-to-end life insurance claims process, including death report intake, documentation review, policy verification, beneficiary validation, and benefit determination, ensuring compliance with company policy, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
• Deliver Survivor Assistance Services to the survivors of our members, including notification of death to government agencies, explanations of settlement options and settlement amounts, handling inquiries, resolving disputes, and ongoing support until proceeds are paid.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of legal documents such as Death Certificates, Trust Agreements, Estate documents and Power of Attorney documents.
• Monitor military benefits and entitlements changes, especially SBP and DIC benefits, and stay updated on relevant laws.
