Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Paramedic I for the Duke Life Flight Code Team on-site. The role delivers high-quality emergency care as a rapid response unit across the DUH campus with ALS capabilities.

The position requires NC Paramedic Certification, 1 year EMS experience, and mandatory BLS with ACLS/PALS preferred to be completed within 6 months of hire. A commitment bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• NC Paramedic Certification required.
• One year Paramedic experience in EMS required.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred but must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of Paramedic scope of practice and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within Paramedic scope of practice.
• Assist clinical staff in evaluation, treatment and care of patients.
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient records using electronic health records.
