Cottonwood is seeking a Life Enrichment DSP II (Team Lead) in Lawrence, KS to help individuals pursue meaningful experiences, build life skills, and engage with their communities. The role mentors newer DSPs and serves as a resource for the team.

Responsibilities include supporting personal goals, transportation, daily living supports, and documentation. The position offers day shifts and a collaborative work environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Driving record acceptable to Cottonwood's insurance carrier.
• Ability to assist with mobility, personal care, and community activities.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

What You'll Do

• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and working through individualized action plans.
• Assist with community participation, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social engagement.

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Driving record that meets Cottonwood insurance requirements.
• Ability to assist with mobility, personal care, and community activities.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Two to four years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting coworkers.
• Experience working independently while exercising good judgment.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position combines indoor and outdoor work and includes active participation in community outings and activities. No two days look exactly the same. You may assist individuals with mobility, transportation, recreational activities, personal care, and other daily living supports.
