Integrated Life Choices is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in various settings. The DSP will promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion while documenting supports provided during each shift.

The role emphasizes safe, person-centered care, transportation duties, and collaboration with the team to support daily living activities and rights advocacy in home and vocational settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.

• Support a person with personal hygiene and medical-related needs, including medication administration.
• Provide documentation at the end of each shift.
• Providing transportation for the people we support is an essential function of the DSP position.

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

DSPs at ILC provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP, you will work with individuals to support them in achieving their hopes and dreams.

Vocational DSPs support individuals at work sites during the day.

DSPs who work at ILC vocational locations support individuals with planned activities that encourage community inclusion, habilitation, and activities of daily living.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is interested in supporting people in achieving their hopes and dreams. As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.

QualificationsWorking Conditions:

This work can be physically demanding in some situations. Some physical work examples could be but are not limited to:

• Intervening in aggressive situation and/or physically demanding responsibilities
• Support with lifting individuals to and from wheelchairs
• Supporting a person to and from a shower
• Using a gait belt in a safe and dignified way
