Job summary

Taylor County Health & Rehab is seeking a Life Enrichment professional to lead, develop, and evaluate activities that enhance residents’ quality of life. You will work with staff and volunteers to implement engaging programs and coordinate calendars reflecting resident needs.

The role requires at least one year in a social or recreation program and a state-approved 36-hour Life Enrichment certification. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate with the IDT and participate in care planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified life enrichment professional with a minimum of one year of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years.
• GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification Course; preferred within first year.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of life enrichment programs under the Director of Life Enrichment Programs.
• Maintains life enrichment calendars reflecting patient needs and occasions, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Promotes ongoing delivery of life enrichment programs and coordinates a volunteer program with screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and resident care conferences as directed.
• Participates in RAI/Care Plan process and coordinates delivery of life enrichment activities.
