Job summary

Taylor County Health & Rehab is seeking a Life Enrichment Program Assistant to develop and deliver patient-centered activities in a non-profit setting. You will assist with program creation, scheduling, and volunteers, ensuring engagement across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The role requires 1 year of experience in social/recreation programs or healthcare, plus GHCA 36-hour certification within the first year. Join a mission-driven team focused on high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Qualified life enrichment professional with at least 1 year in a social or recreation program in the last five years.
• Or qualified healthcare professional with 1 year experience in a skilled nursing or similar care setting.
• GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification; certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of life enrichment program under the direction of the Director of Life Enrichment Programs.
• Develop and maintain life enrichment calendars reflecting patient needs and activities.
• Promote ongoing delivery of life enrichment activities including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer program: screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of volunteers.
• Participate in IDT meetings and resident care conferences as directed by Director of Life Enrichment Programs.
