Job summary

Heritage Inn in Statesboro, GA is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to develop and lead comprehensive wellness programs. You will coordinate activities across seven dimensions of wellness, recruit and supervise volunteers, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care.

The role requires certification and prior life enrichment experience in healthcare settings, with responsibilities to engage residents in a broad range of activities and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified licensed or certified recreation specialist.
• Life enrichment professional with a minimum of two years' experience in a social or recreation program.
• GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification Course; certification within first year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and direct a Life Enrichment program spanning the Seven Dimensions of Wellness.
• Promote ongoing life enrichment activities including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer program with screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary team meetings and resident care conferences.
• Coordinate life enrichment activities with other departments as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for meaningful, patient-centered activities.
• Act as facility liaison to promote community engagement and positive relationships.
