Job summary

Camellia Health & Rehab is seeking a licensed or certified recreation specialist to lead the Life Enrichment program. You will develop, implement, and direct activities across seven wellness dimensions, coordinating with other departments to meet patients' social and recreational needs.

You will support volunteer programs, participate in IDT meetings, and ensure care plans reflect residents’ preferences, all while promoting community engagement and maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years.
• One year full-time in a Life Enrichment program within a health care setting preferred.
• GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification Course; obtain certification within first year if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and direct a Life Enrichment program covering the Seven Dimensions of Wellness.
• Maintain life enrichment calendars reflecting patient needs and events.
• Coordinate volunteer screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation.
• Participate in the Interdisciplinary team (IDT) and resident care conferences.
• Promote ongoing life enrichment activities including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure regression to RAI/Care Plan processes as indicated by guidelines.
