Job summary

Inspirations of Northbrook is seeking a Life Enrichment/Activities Director to organize and lead engaging activity programs for our senior residents. The role supports wellness initiatives, collaborates with the Wellness Director, and creates a monthly activity calendar that aligns with residents' social, emotional, and physical needs.

The position requires 1+ year experience with seniors, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility for evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Degree or experience in Human Services, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, or Art Therapy desired.
• Must complete required State training within the required time frame.
• Minimum of one year working with the senior population.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Arts and crafts and musical ability are desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with initiative and leadership.
• Must be flexible to weekends, evenings, or holidays.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License to drive the community van.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and facilitate activity programs for Assisted Living residents.
• Support Wellness Director and collaborate with the team.
• Create monthly calendars of activities and events.
• Maintain budget, purchases, and inventory for activities.
• Coordinate transportation and van scheduling for activities.
• Lead monthly Resident Council meetings and document minutes.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; involve residents and families as appropriate.
• Provide community tours and assist in marketing efforts as needed.
