Job summary

The Courtyards, part of CIMA Senior Living in Odessa, TX, is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to lead active programs for residents. You will plan and run events, coordinate outings, and collaborate with staff to create meaningful daily activities that foster connection and joy.

The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00AM–6:00PM, with driving responsibilities and resident support. Ideal candidates bring AL experience, program planning skills, and a valid license to drive the

Qualifications

• 2 years of assisted living experience required.
• Activity programming, recreation, or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks during activities and transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in engaging activities, events, trips, and celebrations within the assisted living setting.
• Create monthly calendars and newsletters; gather resident feedback via surveys; collaborate with other departments.
• Facilitate activities and outings, schedule transportation, and drive the community van or bus.
• Engage daily with residents, providing companionship and support during activities.
• Support marketing efforts and assist with tours and apartment rentals when needed.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and participate inengaging, hands-on activities, events, trips, and celebrations within theassisted livingsetting, encouraging resident involvement and highlighting individual talents.
• Create and distribute monthly calendars and newsletters; gather resident feedback through surveys; collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a well-rounded, meaningful daily program.
• Personally facilitate activities and outings -including scheduling transportation, driving the community van or bus, and assisting residents directly during trips and events.
• Engage with one-on-one residents daily, providing companionship, encouragement, and assistance during activities to foster connection and a sense of belonging.
• Support marketing efforts, buildcommunity relationships, and occasionally assist with tours and apartment rentals

What You'll Need:

• 2 years of assisted living experience required
• Activity programming, recreation, or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and assisting residents during activities and transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings in accordance with state regulations.
