Job summary

The Courtyards Senior Living in Odessa, TX is seeking an Activity Assistant to lead and participate in engaging, hands-on activities for residents in assisted living and memory care settings, encouraging participation and highlighting individual talents.

You will facilitate activities and outings, schedule transportation, drive the community bus, provide one-on-one companionship, and help residents enjoy meaningful experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Confidence and comfort driving the community bus for resident outings.
• A naturally creative thinker who enjoys coming up with new ideas and experiences.
• Comfortability and familiarity working with memory care residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in engaging, hands-on activities, events, trips, and celebrations within assisted living and memory care settings, encouraging resident involvement and highlighting individual talents.
• Personally facilitate activities and outings - including scheduling transportation, driving the community van or bus, and assisting residents directly during trips and events.
• Engage with one‑on‑one residents daily, providing companionship, encouragement, and assistance during activities to foster connection and a sense of belonging.
