Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking an Activity Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through group or individual activities. You will assist the Activity Director in planning engaging programs that address social, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, while fostering strong relationships with residents, families and staff.

You will support event execution, calendars, and communications, promoting a compassionate, ethical work environment and encouraging volunteer

Qualifications

• Lead by example and maintain ethical standards.
• Collaborate effectively with peers to generate enthusiasm and high-quality programming.
• Support planning, scheduling and execution of activities per care plans.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with residents and families.
• Assist with community events, outings and special occasions.
• Motivate participation and provide leadership for volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily activities with residents individually or in groups to enhance quality of life.
• Assist Activity Director in designing and executing plans, programs and events addressing residents’ social, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, staff and the broader community.
• Help prepare and distribute activity calendars and related communication materials.
