Job summary

Grace Skilled Nursing & Therapy is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Director) to engage residents with meaningful, creative activities and social programs.

The ideal candidate will have caring for psychological, social, and spiritual needs, with at least 1 year in a skilled nursing setting. We offer competitive pay, full benefits, and career growth within a 100% employee-owned organization.

• 1+ years experience in a skilled nursing environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide leadership to the Social Services Director, including oversight of their responsibilities, goal achievement, development, and adherence to company standards.
• Initiate and promote activities both within and outside the facility to stimulate and promote resident interest and general well being.
• Encourage social communication among residents through group activities, recreation, and one-on-one activities.
• Plan trips (shopping, scenic, etc) and arrange for transportation and supervision.
• Encourage intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and other activities available in the community.
• Comply with safety regulations and policies with a thorough knowledge of federal and state guidelines.

We are looking for a new Life Enrichment Coordinator, also known as an Activities Director!

A Life Enrichment Coordinator must care deeply about the psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our residents. The ideal candidate for this job will appeal to residents from all backgrounds, providing an opportunity to celebrate individuality through expressive and creative activities.
