What You’ll Do:
As the Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC) at Friends Homes, you’ll help create a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive environment for our residents by coordinating and delivering meaningful programs. You’ll work under the guidance of the Senior Life Enrichment Coordinator to support wellness through physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, nutritional, and community outreach activities—both on campus and in the greater community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement a comprehensive activities program to meet diverse resident needs
  • Coordinate guest speakers, musicians, and community entertainers
  • Plan and manage events with attention to budget, logistics, and engagement
  • Collaborate on monthly newsletters and communication efforts
  • Educate residents and staff on using Icon, our event communication tool
  • Maintain equipment and supplies within budget
  • Organize transportation and logistics for outings using software tools
  • Assist with monthly Activities Committee Meetings and holiday events
  • Support the Resident Stores and assist with inventory as needed
  • Complete required training, including Relias modules
  • Submit and track invoices and expenses
  • Partner with activity staff from other levels of care for joint programming
  • Join residents on three overnight trips per year
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, volunteers, and community members

Requirements:
Required:
  • A genuine passion for working with older adults
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, multitask, and collaborate with vendors and volunteers
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office 365, Canva, Icon, and similar platforms
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
  • Valid driver’s license (may be required to drive company vehicle)
Preferred:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • Recreational Therapy certification or Certified Activity Director
  • Experience with trip planning, event logistics, or enrichment programming
