Activities Programming
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program to meet the residents' spiritual, physical, social, and psychosocial needs.
- Utilize community resources and entertainers to schedule various activities, including special events.
- Create a monthly activities calendar reflecting residents' interests and providing enriching opportunities.
- Coordinate all special events, including holiday celebrations.
- Conduct activities as needed and provide a forum for residents to share ideas, thoughts, and concerns.
- Encourage and assist residents in attending activities of interest to them.
- Maintain adequate supplies of equipment within budget guidelines.
- Coordinate activities with other departments as needed.
- Arrange transportation for outings, including driving when necessary.
- Provide opportunities for residents to participate in community service projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with policies, training, and regulations.
Volunteer Recruitment, Coordination, and Training
- Build and maintain a volunteer base through community relationships.
- Orient and train volunteers about the residence, residents, and policies.
- Match volunteers' interests with activities to enrich their and residents' experiences.
- Supervise and support volunteers, recognizing their contributions regularly.
- Encourage residents' family members to volunteer and participate in activities.
- Train staff to conduct activities and promote resident participation.
