Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Harmony River is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant/Recreation Assistant to join its team. The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment/leisure programming for residents, consistent with regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.

Schedule/Hours

Schedule includes every other weekend.

Harmony River, located at 1555 Sherwood Street SE, Hutchinson, MN 55350, offers a warm and inviting environment with a sense of community. Responsibilities
  • Implement assigned activities to help residents achieve their best day through meaningful relationships and activities.
  • Perform routines and daily assignments to meet residents' psychosocial and activity needs, including creating diverse opportunities for recreation, social interaction, personal routines, and household rituals.
  • Participate in daily Chat Circles with residents and staff.
  • Assist residents with activities of their choice, including group, individual, or one-on-one activities.
  • Take residents outdoors or into the community, participate in outings and special events.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks such as shopping, errands, and assisting with correspondence.
  • Provide one-on-one interaction based on resident preferences.
  • Transport residents within the community.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled.
  • Class B license or willingness to obtain within six months.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and good rapport with residents, staff, families, and volunteers.
  • Alignment with PHS's mission and philosophies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Pay Range

Estimated starting pay is $16.32 - $20.09 per hour, depending on qualifications and market conditions.
