Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Harmony River is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant/Recreation Assistant to join its team. The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment/leisure programming for residents, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.

SCHEDULE/HOURS: Schedule includes every other weekend.

Harmony River, located at 1555 Sherwood Street SE, Hutchinson, MN 55350, offers a warm and inviting environment in western Minnesota. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing activities that help residents achieve their best day, fostering meaningful relationships and activities.
  • Performing routines and assignments to meet psychosocial and activity needs, including creating diverse opportunities for recreation, social interaction, growth, and enjoyment.
  • Participating in daily Chat Circles with residents and staff.
  • Assisting residents with activities of their choice, group or individual.
  • Taking residents outdoors or into the community.
  • Participating in outings and special events.
  • Performing miscellaneous tasks such as shopping, errands, correspondence assistance, reading/writing letters, etc.
  • Providing one-on-one interactions based on resident preferences.
  • Transporting residents within the community.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or current enrollment, or equivalent.
  • Class B license or willingness to obtain within six months, as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and good rapport with residents, staff, families, and volunteers.
  • Alignment with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for effective communication.
Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range is $16.32 - $20.09 per hour, depending on qualifications and market conditions.
