Job summary

The waters of Hartford city is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a structured activity program for residents. You will help transport residents, maintain records, and assist with equipment, always aiming to motivate participation and ensure safety.

Ideal candidates are energetic, personable, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive the facility van.

Qualifications

• Must possess a positive, outgoing attitude.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to drive the facility van.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Must present a positive image of the facility.
• Must meet health assessment requirements, including two stage Mantoux skin tests and one-step annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Aides assist the recreation activities leader or activities director, helping residents use equipment and supplies.
• Assists with transporting residents to appointments.
• Prepares equipment and ensures the safety of residents in the activity.
• Assist in leading participants in group activities, such as an exercise class or art project.
• Proper record keeping of equipment and its use.
• Assist in planning programs for residents to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
