Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Fairway Knoll is seeking a Life Enrichment/Activities Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment/leisure programming for residents, consistent with regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.

Located in Menomonee Falls, Dickson Hollow is a vibrant community of residents and staff, currently growing and expanding!

Schedule: Part-time, averaging 6-10 hours/week, first shift, working every other Saturday and Sunday with flexibility in hours. Additional hours may be available during the week, but are not required.

Key responsibilities include programming activities in the Arbor (Memory Care). Previous experience is a plus, but training will be provided!

Salary: $15.67 - $18.36/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing activities that help residents achieve “their best day,” fostering meaningful relationships and engagement
• Performing routines and daily assignments to meet residents' psychosocial and activity needs, including creating diverse opportunities for recreation, socialization, personal routines, and household rituals
• Participating in daily Chat Circles with residents and staff
• Assisting residents with activities of their choice, group or individual
• Taking residents outdoors or into the community
• Participating in outings and special events
• Performing tasks such as shopping, errands, correspondence, and reading/writing letters
• Providing one-on-one interaction based on resident preferences
• Transporting residents within the community

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or current enrollment
• Class B license or willingness to obtain within six months
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Enthusiasm, initiative, and good rapport with residents, staff, families, and volunteers
• Alignment with PHS's mission and philosophies
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
