Job summary

RM Management is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant in Minnesota to plan and implement engaging activities for residents, coordinating with the care team to support physical, cognitive and social well-being.

You will lead programs, support aides, and create experiences reflecting residents' interests. The role requires 20 hours per week with weekends; a high school diploma and 1 year in assisted living with dementia are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience leading activities in group settings and 1:1.
• 1 year experience in an assisted or senior living setting with dementia.
• Able to work 20 hours a week, with weekend hours included.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs independently or direct home health aide participation.
• Generate programs that residents and staff participate in.
• Set up and conduct programs meeting diverse physical, cognitive and social needs.
• Receive feedback from residents and leadership to improve programs and create action plans.
• Integrate daily routines such as mealtime, grooming, bed making, and laundry into programming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Life Enrichment Assistant

The Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistantparticipate in planning activities, coordinates and implements programs, events, trips and celebrations for clients that provide physical, social, intellectual and spiritual development opportunities for clients to participate in. Provides oversight and direction to home health aides on the unit to participate and activate programs and provide services as assigned to residents.

Essential Functions

• Lead programs independently or direct home health aide participation.


• Generate programs that the unit staff and clients participate in.


• Set-up and conduct programs that meet a variety of physical, cognitive and social needs of our clients.


• Participate in receiving client feedback on programs with the Director of Life Enrichment and Director of Nursing, create timely action plans to enhance programs to match our client's requests.


• Integrate life routines such as mealtime, grooming, bed making, laundry, etc.into programming.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

• $16.00-$18.00 base on experience

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma


• Lead fun and meaningful activities in group setting and 1:1


• 1 year experience with working in an Assisted or Senior Living setting with Dementia


• Able to work 20 hours a week- flexible hours with weekend hours included


• Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal; to be able to read aloud and speak in front of others
