Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Life Enrichment Leader Memory Care for a full-time role, with every other weekend work and Monday off after a weekend. You will plan, schedule, and lead engaging activities for memory care residents, assess needs, and coordinate communications and documentation.

The position requires 3–5 years of experience with the elderly, 1 year of management, and certification in activities programs. Proficiency in Windows and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Completed high school education or equivalent.
• Certification: Activities Certification as required by state compliance.
• Experience: 3–5 years working with the elderly; at least 1 year of management.
• Knowledge: Alzheimer’s/dementia experience preferred.
• English: Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Computer: Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and develop life enrichment activities for residents.
• Assess residents for appropriate activities for group, independent and one-to-one.
• Submit assessments and required paperwork for MDS in a timely manner.
• Lead activities on scheduled work days.
• Create and maintain monthly and daily activities calendars.

• May oversee payroll submission, HR, A/P, A/R, and billing procedures.
• May manage the departmental budget.
• Help supervise Life Enrichment Assistants and volunteers.

Essential Functions

• Scheduling and developing life enrichment activities to suit the needs of the residents.
• Responsible for assessing residents for appropriate life enrichment activities for group, independent and one-to-one.
• Making timely submissions of assessments and other required paperwork for MDS.
• Leads activities on scheduled work days.
• Creates and maintains monthly, daily activities calendar.
• Contribute to and/or write the facility newsletter and other communications.
• May oversee payroll submission, HR, A/P, A/R, and billing procedures.
• May be responsible for managing the budget of the dept.
• May ensure appropriate staffing levels by assisting with managing the Life Enrichment Assistants and volunteers.
• Attends facility meetings, QI, educational in-services as required.
• Participates in on-call, weekend manager programs as required.

• Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
