Job summary

RM Management is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to join our Memory Care unit in Minnesota. You will plan and coordinate activities, lead programs, and supervise home health aides to engage residents in meaningful development opportunities.

Minimum of a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience in an assisted or senior living setting with dementia are required. Must be able to work 20 hours per week, including weekends, with strong communication skills in both written and spoken

• Ability to read aloud and speak in front of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs independently or direct home health aide participation.
• Generate programs that the unit staff and clients participate in.
• Set-up and conduct programs that meet physical, cognitive and social needs of clients.
• Integrate life routines (mealtime, grooming, bed making, laundry) into programming.
• Participate in receiving client feedback on programs and create action plans to enhance programs.

Life Enrichment Assistant

The Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistantparticipate in planning activities, coordinates and implements programs, events, trips and celebrations for clients that provide physical, social, intellectual and spiritual development opportunities for clients to participate in. Provides oversight and direction to home health aides on the unit to participate and activate programs and provide services as assigned to residents.

Essential Functions

• Lead programs independently or direct home health aide participation.


• Generate programs that the unit staff and clients participate in.


• Set-up and conduct programs that meet a variety of physical, cognitive and social needs of our clients.


• Participate in receiving client feedback on programs with the Director of Life Enrichment and Director of Nursing, create timely action plans to enhance programs to match our client's requests.


• Integrate life routines such as mealtime, grooming, bed making, laundry, etc.into programming.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

• $16.00-$18.00 base on experience

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma


• Lead fun and meaningful activities in group setting and 1:1


• 1 year experience with working in an Assisted or Senior Living setting with Dementia


• Able to work 20 hours a week- flexible hours with weekend hours included


• Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal; to be able to read aloud and speak in front of others
