Job summary

Independence Village Grand Ledge is seeking a Life Enrichment Lead to plan and execute engaging activities that support residents’ social welfare and interests in a senior living community. The role serves as the expert for personal programming for residents.

The position requires a compassionate, team-oriented individual with 1–3 years of related experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and proficiency with general computer tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings weekends and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.
• Provide direction to Life Enrichment support roles e.g. LEA Shuttle Drivers regarding day to day activities and responsibilities.
• Support functional responsibilities in absence of Life Enrichment Director as needed.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Lead is responsible for planning life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior living community The Life Enrichment Lead will serve as an expert for personal programming for all residents within the community

General Working Conditions
