Job summary

Casa de Ramana Rehabilitation Center seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to organize daily activities and programs for residents, fostering engagement and well-being. The role requires a friendly, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include documenting participation, building rapport with residents and families, and supporting care plans while maintaining residents' rights and dignity in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, especially with geriatric populations.

(part time is temporary)

Casa de Ramana a great place to work is hiring a Life Enrichment / Activity Aide to help run daily life enrichment activities and programs for the residents in the Center. The ideal candidate will be friendly, enthusiastic, and a self starter. This is a great opportunity for a creative person who enjoys making a difference!

Full Time is Monday thru Friday 11a to 7pm and every other W/E 9a to 5pm.

Part time is Sunday 9a to 7pm Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 7pm

Some of the job responsibilities of the Life Enrichment Assistant / Activity Aide:

• Demonstrates the ability to implement the planned activity scheduled for the day, location and time assigned.
• Documents resident attendance at functions as well as one on one visits.
• Establishes relationships with residents, families and community visitors, to foster their support and involvement.
• Promotes the residents’ rights in the center, provides care and services in a manner that promotes dignity and respect for residents, families, other staff and community
• Demonstrates the ability to apply population specific knowledge of (sub acute, dementia, pediatrics, and residents with multiple disabilities) to the daily care of the residents. May be asked to participate in care plan and family meetings.

Education and Experience of the Life Enrichment Assistant / Activity Aide:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in the healthcare field required. Experience working with geriatric population preferred.
