Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village is seeking an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment to support engaging programs for residents. The role includes organizing events, supervising activities, and assisting residents with outings, while ensuring safety and positive interactions throughout the day.

Full-time daytime schedule (8:30am – 4:30pm) is available, with a competitive pay rate up to $19.50 per hour and a supportive team environment focusing on meaningful resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Life Enrichment program or related experience or training.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CPR preferred.
• Follows up quickly on resident requests or needs.
• Excellent phone manner and engagement with residents.

Responsibilities

• Follows up quickly on resident requests or needs.
• Answers the phone with a smile, knowing that a smile can be heard on the phone.
• Arranges chairs, tables, or supplies for Life Enrichment events.
• Notifies residents of schedules and events; encourages attendance.
• Leads groups, clubs, and events per Life Enrichment Director.
• Conducts one-to-one visits with residents per programming needs.
• Operates audiovisual equipment and monitors engagement.
• Drives bus to transport residents for trips and outings; safe driving practices.
• Assist residents in and out of buses during trips and outings.
