Job summary

Villa St. Francis in Milwaukee is seeking an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Coordinator to engage residents with meaningful programs in the evenings and on weekends.

The role emphasizes arts and crafts, memory impairment care experience, and the ability to plan monthly calendars, lead activities, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. A WI driver’s license and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent plus a year of experience with seniors.
• Experience with memory impairment in older adults.
• Experience with arts and crafts.
• Clear communication skills and ability to interact with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to lead activities independently and drive a 13-passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and implement individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in planning monthly calendar of events.
• Collaborate with the Director to produce, maintain and distribute the monthly activity calendar and newsletter.
• Provide feedback on activity needs and maintain resident participation records.
• Monitor activity areas for safety and cleanliness; coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain supplies and ensure equipment functions properly; participate in fundraising activities.
