Job summary

Heritage West Allis Senior Living is seeking an enthusiastic Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant to design engaging programs for residents, including games, crafts, music, and outings, helping them stay connected and joyful.

You will work with the Life Enrichment Director, lead group activities, support residents one-on-one, and adapt activities to abilities, while maintaining safety, documentation, and welcoming spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, childcare, or customer-service is a plus.
• CNA certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors.
• Must meet applicable pre-employment, training, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead recreational, social, physical, educational, and entertainment programs.
• Lead and assist with group activities, games, crafts, music, exercise, and events.
• Encourage participation while respecting individual interests and abilities.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents and provide companionship when needed.
• Provide engaging sensory activities and adapt activities for varying abilities.
