Job summary

Wingate Residences at Haverhill is seeking an Activity Assistant on a per diem basis to support residents with engaging programs. You will lead and participate in daily activities, coordinate one-on-one and group sessions, and help maintain a warm, caring environment.

Responsibilities include developing innovative activity plans, assisting with transportation arrangements, creating newsletters or calendars, and supporting memory and social engagement for seniors in our long-term care and

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Maintains confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and community.
Ability to relate to and serve elderly residents positively and effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an innovative daily activity program for residents.
Lead one-on-ones, small group and large group activities according to the programming schedule.
Support, encourage and direct independent activity pursuits, both individually and in small groups.
Maintain professional, warm and caring relationships with residents and families.
Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to community activities.
Attend ongoing in-service training sessions and orientation.
Drive residents in van as needed.
