Wingate Residences at Silver Lake is seeking an Entry-level Activity Assistant to organize and implement programs meeting residents' social, physical, and emotional needs. The role focuses on promoting self-esteem through creative daily activities in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of aging and disability issues preferred.
• Ability to relate to and engage elderly residents in a positive, efficient manner.
• Demonstrates ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an innovative daily activity program for residents.
• Lead and implement one-on-one, small group, and large group activities.
• Support and encourage independent activity pursuits for residents.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition or behavior to Life Enrichment Director.
• Assist with transportation arrangements for residents to community activities.
• Attend in-service trainings and orientation; drive residents in van as needed.
