Preferred Care MI is seeking an Activities Coordinator to provide engaging daily activities for residents in a caring environment. You will plan, schedule and implement quality programs, building relationships with residents and families while maintaining positive, professional behavior.

Responsibilities include coordinating calendars, supporting events, collaborating with volunteers, and promoting resident participation while ensuring accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in activity/recreation for geriatric care preferred.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling and implementing quality activities.
• Create and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
• Prepare activity calendars and update activity boards.
• Assist with resident events, outings, birthdays and anniversaries.
• Work with volunteers and actively seek new volunteers.
• Encourage and motivate resident participation.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
