Assets, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Life Coach I) in Anchorage, AK to provide direct support and companionship in home and community settings. This role helps individuals build skills and independence, promoting inclusion and quality of life within the community.

The position offers full-time hours (30-40 hrs/wk), flexible scheduling, and paid training with benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, 401k with employer match, plus 13 paid holidays and PTO.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Willingness to participate in training and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills and independence.
• Provide supervision and ensure safety according to care plans.
• Assist individuals in participating in community activities and building natural supports.
• Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with individuals served.
• Complete required documentation and program records accurately and on time.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Follow all policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical practices.
• Complete all required trainings.
• Work a flexible schedule based on program needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
