Job summary

Assets, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness in daily living, community integration, and skill development in Alaska.

Two full-time positions available. Pay starts at $17.80 per hour with credit for education and experience listed on your application. A valid Alaska driver’s license and insured vehicle are required, along with state background clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses preferred.
• Must have valid Alaska driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily living, community inclusion and independence.
• Document treatment and service notes on schedule.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical practice.
• De-escalate verbally or physically aggressive situations following procedures.
