Job summary
The Arc of Anchorage is seeking a full-time Job Coach to support individuals in the community-based employment program. The role involves one-on-one and small-group coaching to help participants attain and retain jobs, along with coordinating related services and supports.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, preferred certification in employment services, and experience with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate in employment services preferred.
- One-year experience working with people who experience developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing each individual plan for supported employment.
- Gather information for individuals seeking supported employment services through DVR and related agencies.
- Provide onsite assessment, training, supervision, and support for individuals placed on job sites.
- Support trainees in job readiness, applications, and retention.
- May coordinate transportation to and from the job site.
- Monitor progress with trainee/employer to ensure required supports meet goals.
- Complete notes and documentation of programs and progress.
