Job Description:The Life Claims Processor is responsible for reviewing and processing life insurance claims. These are contestable claims associated with individual final expense products. The role requires evaluating claim submissions to ensure they meet policy requirements, verifying necessary documentation and determining claim eligibility. The examiner will communicate with beneficiaries, policyholders, and internal departments to ensure claims are handled in a timely and accurate manner. This is a remote, 6+ month assignment with possible temp-to-hire opportunity.Responsibilities:- Review contestable life insurance claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify submitted documentation, such as death certificates and medical records.
- Determine claim eligibility based on policy terms and conditions.
- Communicate with beneficiaries, policyholdersand medical professionals to gather necessary information.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex or disputed claims.
- Ensure claims are processed within company guidelines and state regulations.
- Provide clear, concise communication to claimants regarding the status of their claims.
- Set up claims and mail claim packages to the named beneficiaries.
- Research Death Master Files to confirm death of the insured and locate the beneficiary for any unclaimed policies.

- Knowledge of medical terminology
- High school diploma or equivalent
Pay Range:The anticipated pay range for this position is $18-$25 hourly.
