What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Receive and respond to all referral inquiries, providing appropriate information to potential patients and their families
  • Assess and provide clinical judgment for referrals to the appropriate level of care, maintaining knowledge of admission criteria and treatment services
  • Manage referral packets and communicate acceptance or denial of referrals within one working day of receipt
  • Facilitate weekly conference calls with regional facilities to review referral status and guide intake staff on next steps
  • Maintain and update the referral database, generating reports to track referrals from receipt to admission

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or mental health field required
  • Must reside in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or Arizona
  • Knowledge of assessing clients for appropriate levels of care
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with facility intake staff and referral sources

  • Prior experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting
  • Familiarity with referral processes in healthcare
