What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive and respond to all referral inquiries, providing appropriate information to potential patients and their families
- Assess and provide clinical judgment for referrals to the appropriate level of care, maintaining knowledge of admission criteria and treatment services
- Manage referral packets and communicate acceptance or denial of referrals within one working day of receipt
- Facilitate weekly conference calls with regional facilities to review referral status and guide intake staff on next steps
- Maintain and update the referral database, generating reports to track referrals from receipt to admission
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or mental health field required
- Must reside in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or Arizona
- Knowledge of assessing clients for appropriate levels of care
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with facility intake staff and referral sources
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Master's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Prior experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting
- Familiarity with referral processes in healthcare
- Experience in database management
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple referrals simultaneously
